Apply sub-headings
First, make sure that the "Paragraph" option is displayed on the Format drop-down list; if not, then please follow the steps listed on the paragraph text help page before proceeding.
- Insert your cursor anywhere within the paragraph that you wish to convert into a heading.
- Select the relevant heading style from the Format drop-down list on the rich text editor toolbar.
Please use the headings as follows:
- Heading 1 is automatically displayed once at the top of each document, based on the Long title field in the document settings.
- Use Heading 2 for second-level headings (i.e. sub-headings).
- Use Heading 3 for any third-level headings (i.e. sub-sub-headings).
For the sake of clarity, on most web pages it is best to stick to these 3 levels of headings at the most.
If you are not satisfied with the appearance of any given level of heading (e.g., Heading 2 or Heading 3 etc.) then please ask your web developer to adjust your style sheet. (Do not simply use a different level of heading in its place.)
