The document tree

The document tree contains a list of all the documents that make up your site, displayed in a hierarchical 'tree' view.

Hide or show the document tree

Sometimes it can be useful to temporarily hide the tree while you are working on a document, so that you can use the full width of the browser window for editing.

  1. To hide the tree, click on the "Hide tree" button on the right of the document tree toolbar.
  2. To show the tree after it has been hidden, click on the "Show tree" button at the top left of the manager window.

Document status colours

Items are styled in different ways to indicate their status:

  • Published items with "show in menu" checked are displayed in normal text;
  • Items that are published but without "show in menu" checked are displayed in light grey text;
  • Unpublished items are displayed in light grey italic text;
  • And deleted items are displayed in red with a strikethrough.

Expanding a container/folder document

Click on the plus sign (+) to the left of a folder icon to expand that container and display its contents ('child' documents) in the tree.

Quick access to common editing functions

Click on document icons (or right-click on document titles) to access a context menu containing all the common editing functions - e.g., create/edit/delete.
